I utilize EMDR Therapy as well as other effective, evidenced-based psychotherapy methods to instill self-understanding and work to help you heal on your life journey. It is essential to keep in mind that therapy is not a quick fix. Sometimes, I wish I had a magic wand, but I know the journey through the therapy process and the art from which a therapist provides that therapy is truly where the healing happens. The best therapy is a healing process that requires active participation and investment from my clients and their supporters alike. I am a Certified EMDR Therapist and primarily utilize EMDR Therapy to facilitate healing.
I may also incorporate other useful therapeutic modalities with EMDR Therapy including:
Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT),
Dialectal Behavioral Therapy (DBT) techniques,
Ego-State Therapy/ Attachment Therapy, &
Family Therapy strategies, as needed.
Often integrate art and play-based techniques into therapy when appropriate.
