Kim Delcourt, MSW, LCSW

(with Ava)

Hi! Let me take the opportunity to say thank you for visiting my site and I look forward to working together!

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), licensed in the State of Indiana, I graduated from Indiana University in South Bend with a Master's Degree in Social Work and adhere to the National Association of Social Work (NASW) Code of Ethics. I am a Certified EMDR Clinician and full member of the Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing International Association (EMDRIA).

As a clinician, I hope to guide you through life’s most complex and difficult matters and help you feel better. If you are looking into therapy, there has likely been something that has happened to you, or to a loved one, that has changed you. This is where I can help. I cannot change what has happened, but together, it may be possible to change how you feel about what has happened in your life. I truly care about my clients’ well-being and strive to provide top of the line psychotherapy services catering to your specific needs. I know first hand that therapy is hard, and facing your difficulties in life is a challenge; however, it is my hope that therapy can become one of the best parts of your week and you will look forward to your sessions! Therapy doesn't have to be miserable!

I started with my own therapy when I was just seven (7) years old and my grandfather was ill in our home. At that time, the word "trauma" was still a very new idea and my parents, thankfully, found it helpful to have a social worker talk to me about what was going on in our family at that time. This incident, as well as others throughout my life, have led me to the social work field. It's truly a passion and a calling for me. I have provided a number of specialized therapeutic services to those dealing with challenging life experiences and have worked in locked-secure units for residential treatment programs, in a community mental health center with children and adolescents, at a local hospice, and have practiced in private practice. I can now say I have worked with client's from birth to 106 years old! In all of my work, I use a client-centered, strengths-based therapy approaches that work to heal trauma, build attachment, and help strengthen your self-compassion.

Your well-being is my number one priority, and I will work to help you heal from the difficult and traumatic events in your life. I want to help you feel better on your life's journey.

Please get in touch with me for more information and to see if I am a good fit for your therapy needs.
